Considering they are promoting it, does that make them an expert or does it make their self-serving statements regarding the value of leadership training untrue?

Leadership and management training surely seem to be essential aspects for the renowned success of the huge corporations where the leader is the person everyone is willing to follow into unknown territory and stick with against all likelihood.
That appears to be the organization’s inevitable secret of success – their readiness to take on the metaphorical San Juan Hill that has been described to them by their leader.

Maybe leadership training would have helped them take their devotees and their organizations in the direction it would have been more profitable for them to go. But since it was the faceless investors’ money and because the leader had the support of the press and in many cases the people in politics, their actual failure to lead is often swept under the rug.
